Software Engineer I - Amherst, NY
Under direct supervision this positions maintains the code of current products, including resolving identified bugs from detailed specifications. In addition, the Software Developer 1 enhances the functionality of our current product, or assists in the development of a new product. While each Software Engineer 1 is assigned to a specific Product Line, (s)he may also cross product lines at various times, or be assigned to a general IT project. The assignments of tasks will come from management, and time expectations and priorities will also be provided.

Required Skills/Qualifications:

  • Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
  • Beginner level knowledge of software programming and debugging concepts.
  • Perl
  • Mod_perl
  • Apache
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to translate detailed specifications into efficient and logical code that meets or exceeds all Seevast standards
